1.) The material has to be an original, and the person
submitting it has to be it´s author, or it´s legal proprietary. This is
really important, there are many times in which I receive scanned
pictures appearing in books... there is also people stealing pictures
from other sites on the internet. I take extra care when reviewing
material submitted to me, and I´ll check or make questions if I have
any suspicions.
2.) The submitted graphic material has to be accompanied with some sort
of text, in which should be found the name of the ship, the place where
the picture was taken, date...and any other relevant information about
it that helps to
bring light over the image exposed in the site. The information given
should be enough to identify the ship. All technical information or
comments are very welcome.
3.) I will not admit pictures with watermarks or similar.
Also...
A) Add the email address of this site to your address book,
otherwise my response email can be considered as SPAM by many SPAM
filters used by standard email services ( yahoo, hotmail, etc. ).
B) Images may be redimensioned or transformed in order to occupy less
space.
C) All material submitted that appears on this site will be credited,
the name of the entity ( person, association, etc. ) will be displayed.
D) I reserve the right to accept and/or publish material that I
consider inadecuate, inappropiate, without enough quality, or material
that makes me feel suspicious about its origin.
E) It may take some time to put submitted material, so please do not
insist sending emails to know the status of your pictures. Before going
live i´ll get in contact with the author to comunicate that event (
I will do my best and try at least most of the times ).
F) I´m interested in pictures in which you can see the whole ship, and
nothing missing. As an example, a picture of a ship with the bow cut
will not be valid. Pictures that do not comply to these rules, but
contain something that I consider interesting or have, in my
understanding, 'artistic quality', could be posted in our Facebook wall.
G) I´ll not be responsible for the use others do with material
submitted.
And last but not least important... Starting January 2005
this site is subject to a Creative Commons license ( see FAQ section ),
this basically implies that all contents of this site can be reused by
other people, providing that their work is subject to the same rules
governing this site ... and if any material from this site is used to
obtain economical benefit, the author has the right to claim HIS
corresponding credits.
In the rare event of contributed material being requested for any of
the purpouses depicted above (only a couple of times in twelve years
now), I´ll get in contact through the email.
Finally, if you have read the above and agree to the terms, please send your material to:
webmaster@losbarcosdeeugenio.com
I´d like to thank you for spending time reading these terms, and would also like to thank you in advance for the pictures you are going to share with the community.
Greetings,
Eugenio.
