Comment: Biggest unit built for the Italian Navy since WWII era Littorio battleships. Replaced aircraft carrier Guiseppe Garibaldi, and should act as secondary air capability if aircraft carrier Cavour is not avaialble. Flight deck size is 230m x 36m, has 9 spots for aircraft, and is equipped with 2 x 42tm 15m x 15m elevators. Equipped with a NATO Role 2E hospital with 28 beds ( 700m2 ).
