Coment: italian double engined version of the AB-212/UH-1. They arrived to Spain in 1974, completing 14 units adquired. Specially adapted for ASW and ASuW duties. It only takes two hours to change the transport configuration to rocket armed version. Auxiliary crane load capacity is 400 pounds, barycentric hook load capacity is 1100 pounds. All units are assigned to the 3rd Squadron, based at Rota ( Cádiz ).

Coment: Mainly embarked on escort ships. It is not unusual to see them based at land and performing ASW. Four units are used in assault operations, they´ve ´ot an armored cockpit and no sensors, armed with 2 x 7,62mm MG´s and 2 x 70mm rocketlaunchers. Five Artigliere units.
